Prometheus: The Force Victorious

The Force of Prometheus was actually three players.

The team was:

We had different jobs from the start, Jabba was only allowed to move transport ships, Q was doing production and upgrades, and Sebulba (me) was moving warships and drones and setting war/guard/peace. With few exceptions, nobody ever issued orders belonging to a field of one of the others.

Coordination of these things happened by two means:

  1. Making sure everybody got the forecasts so that the other's orders would be included in subsequent sets of orders
  2. Coordinating by talking to each other via the forwarder

So how did the game happen from Sebulba's point of view?

We met Tsalia, who sent a message explaining what sounded like a backstab against Zorg (it wasn't, as I later found out). This was the first we heard about a race called Zorg, but we tried to find out and thus tried to aid an attack by Emerald Knights and Zorg against Tsalia's HW in turn 20, supposedly paying them for their treason. Tsalia cleverly made that plan fail by setting us to peace at his HW and by having Koridan Empire help in the defense. Tension ruled the relationship afterwards, attempts at making a new treaty were made, but were never formally completed. Emerald Knights were talking about a dangerous alliance out there, including Tsalia, Koridan Empire, Valar and CityState. They also talked of this to Sykather, trying to enlist his aid. Instead, this set of CityState's paranoia, who heard of this. Them message also accidentally addressed Sykather as Sebulba, which caused CityState to verbally attack The Force.

And then it happened. In turn 25, Hackers passed on a confidential message which CityState accidentally sent to him. It detailed attack plans of CityState, Moose, Koridan Empire, Ael (who was addressed in the message) against Hackers, The, Pyrrans and Tribes of Man. SOL (side of light) was formed, including Emerald Knights, who didn't get a copy of the message and so were left to believe for a while that finally their call to arms had been heard. Since the enemy (FOE, Forces of Darkness, we called them) would strike at turn 30, plans to attack before were quickly laid. The Force attacked Tsalia, Outer_Rim (who didn't prolong a peace treaty we had), and did a short attack on Koridan Empire. The war went good, and ended when CityState wrote a message to all, admitting his error and saying good bye. At this moment, the galaxy died a death of silence. Hackers and Tribes of Man, the largest empires beside The Force, stopped talking to us. Peace was made with Koridan Empire. (Note: the attack on Koridan Empire was Jabba's doing during my (Sebulba's) absence due to the birth of my first daughter, and when I came back, I quickly made peace because except for KE's silence and being part of FOE, relations had been pretty good). Outer Rim also got peace, under the condition (enforced with a large fleet at one of his two homeworlds) that he deliver CAP to us. He did it! I admire the sense of survival Outer Rim and Koridan Empire showed in the face of near defeat.

Time went by, Outer Rim started constructing a Death Star and was therefore obliterated before the ships could complete. No reason to take any unnecessary risks, Death Star sounds pretty impressive.

For a long time, nothing much happened except that we grew and started constructing the Bastard, a mass 1111.11 ship. War for total domination was planned to start when it was completed.

When the time came in turn 57, everyone except Emerald Knights (peace treaty), Koridan Empire (informal friendly agreement) and PeaceMakers (agreement of leaving each other alone) was swarmed and attacked. Emerald Knights severed the treaty, and the others also united to attack us. After having not been seriously hurt all the time before, and having had a stunning success with the surprise attack, completing the task was easy and The Force remained the only power in turn 64.
